Astrid - Aka Tid

Tid has been playing drums since 1986 aged 6 following in her dads footsteps as a drummer. She started gigging when she was around 13 years old filling in for her dad in his 60's rock n roll band Vic Rub and the Vapours. Tid formed her first band, the female fronted rock covers band Kill Kate in 2003, joined Shallow Gene Pool in 2005 which later morphed into originals band Rustbucket who went on to tour and record the E.P Beer Metal. In 2007 she became a Guinness World Record holder for the successful attempt for the "Worlds Largest Full Drum Kit Ensemble". Following this amazing experience Tid joined Rugby band Stonefire later joining The Rooters as a part time member in 2015.

Musical Influences:

Astrid started with 60's rock n roll such as the Beatles, Stones and Dave Clarke 5, then fell in love with the 90's Grunge scene which inc Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Rage Against the Machine and then delving into 70's and 80's classic rock, in particular Black Sabbath and Ozzy. Astrid is also a big fan of ABBA, Sheryl Crow and Alanis Morissette.

She is inspired by Bill Ward of Sabbath, Dave Grohl of Nirvana and Neil Peart of Rush.
